How to apply for a visa

Getting an Australian visa starts with choosing the visa that best suits your reason for travelling, such as a Working Holiday, Student, Visitor or Partner Visa. You then check the eligibility requirements, gather the necessary documents and submit your application, usually through the Australian Government’s ImmiAccount system. Depending on your visa and circumstances, you may also be asked to complete health checks, biometrics, police checks or provide additional information. Once everything is submitted, the Department of Home Affairs will assess your application and notify you of the decision. Visa requirements, processing times and outcomes vary between applicants, and approval cannot be guaranteed.

What is fifo

FIFO stands for Fly-In Fly-Out. It is a work arrangement commonly used in mining, oil and gas, and large construction projects where workers fly to a remote worksite, stay there for a set roster such as 2 weeks on and 1 week off, then fly home for their time off. Employers often provide accommodation, meals and transport while workers are on site. FIFO jobs can offer strong pay, but the work can involve long shifts, remote locations and extended periods away from home.

What are the Australian immigration requirements?
Do I need an immigration consultant?

You do not need an immigration consultant to apply for an Australian visa, and many applicants complete the process themselves through ImmiAccount. However, professional assistance can be helpful if you are unsure which visa applies to you, have a complex immigration history, or want support preparing your application and documents. If you receive immigration assistance in Australia, make sure it is provided by a registered migration agent, Australian legal practitioner or another person legally permitted to provide that assistance.
How do I start?
My application has already failed. Is it possible to re-apply?

The short answer is yes, you can re-apply, but the opportunity for re-application often depends on your specific circumstances and the reason for the refusal. Our consultants are happy to evaluate your situation and advise whether a re-application would be permitted or indeed successful the second time around.
What type of permanent residency visa will I qualify for?

From business visas for those with big ideas to working visas for skilled professionals and family visas for those with loved ones already living in Australia, there are lots of different ways to obtain permanent residency.

Contact us today to figure out which one best suits your circumstances and circumvent the long-winded application process, so you can focus on all the fun things about moving to Australia.
What about a temporary visa?

Whether you are a student attending university, or just heading here on an extended adventure, temporary visas allow you to live and work in the country for an extended period. The working holiday visa is ideal for those who want to explore extensively and make money while they do, while a tourist visa allows for shorter-term travels.

While these visas do not offer you permanent residency, the process for applying can still be quite complex. Get in touch today if you need help completing a temporary visa application.
Can you help with a change of circumstances or a canceled visa?
How long will my application take?

The time it takes for an application to be approved varies greatly depending on the type of visa you are applying for and your specific set of circumstances. Temporary visas can be approved in just a few short weeks, while permanent visas tend to take several months or more. Using an immigration consultant is a surefire way to shorten your application time, preventing delays caused by incorrectly filed information.
